Operating locally and globally
The vast majority of the specialty compounds Premix produces are exported globally to our customers in over 40 countries and have an even higher number of different applications, from electronics packaging to antimicrobial products.
Premix Oy’s headquarters and modern manufacturing facilities are located in Rajamäki, Finland. With our plant being built at Apple Creek Corporate Center in Gastonia, North Carolina, we will double our production capacity and offer our customers better global supply.
We have local teams supporting our customers in Finland, the U.S., and China. Our U.S. sales office was opened in Gastonia in 2022 to support our customers, especially those preferring local supplies in 2025, once our plant is fully operational. The state-of-the-art plant is designed to cater to the most demanding needs in Healthcare and will secure critical diagnostics material supplies in the U.S.
Resilient supply chains, high product quality, consistency
With the new manufacturing plant in the US as of August 2025, we can offer our customers better global supply capability, mitigate risks in global supply chains, and better serve our customers in the US market.
The healthcare compounding in the new plant is planned to start in August 2025. However, we will offer our US customers services already in 2024. First, the option for our US customers to have local storage for the compounds produced in Finland, already in 2024, and in early 2025 also toll compounding services.

As a Premix customer in North America, you will enjoy local production and services, ensuring short lead times and high supply reliability. The new plant will manufacture electrically conductive and dissipative plastic compounds for a wide range of applications where static electricity creates problems.
